Vladimir Fitsko completed his Bachelor and Master in Music degrees from the State Conservatory of Kiev in Ukraine. He also obtained his Master's in Music degree in Composition and western piano performance at the University of Saskatchewan, Canada.

Vladimir studied piano in Kiev, Ukraine with renowned professor L.Waintraub (pupil of Yakov Flier, H. Neuhaus and Konstantin Igumnov), G. Polyack and Prof. R. Harrison in Canada. He also studied composition with Prof. M. Floyd.

While studying at the State Conservatory of Kiev, he performed extensively in the busy music scene in Kiev (the capital of Ukraine) and in other cities abroad.

His performance experience includes playing solo recitals, participating in chamber orchestras, accompanying instrumental and vocal soloists. He toured across Canada with the Saskatchewan baritone Henry Louselle and performed in many major cities including Toronto, Vancouver and Edmonton as well as Terrace, British Columbia and Thunder Bay, Ontario. His recent performances include Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto No. 2 and Respighi's "Pines of Rome" - which were both performed with the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra.

In addition to his classical experience, Vladimir also plays jazz piano solo, performs with several jazz groups, composes and records digital music. He performed with jazz groups during 1994 Toronto Jazz Festival and was a featured performer for 1995-2003 Saskatchewan Jazz Festival

Vladimir started teaching while he was in Music College in Ukraine at the age of 17. His teaching experience spans over 25 years in various roles as music teacher, music director and sessional instructor. He brings this extensive experience to the Russian Piano School with his stage performances, excellent teaching methods and dedication. The school's students have won many regional piano performance competitions, participated and successfully passed RCM exams, some of them with distinction.

Vladimir has been an active member of the Canadian Association of Music Teachers since 1993.
