Beautiful view of grand pianoThe Russian Piano School was founded in Canada by Ukrainian born pianist/composer Vladimir Fitsko in 1992. Here, at the Russian Piano School , we introduce students to our unique Russian piano method. This technique is suitable for all levels and all ages and is perfect for children. We focus on: hand position, fingering, as well as posture and quality of sound. This piano method works superbly for people who choose music as a career as well as for those who want to play the piano for pleasure. The repertoire is carefully selected according to the goal chosen by the student and instructor. All students receive specific instruction on how to practice.

Left hand position on the pianoRussian Piano School's goal is to help students explore various musical styles such as: classical, pop and jazz in greater depth so that their opinion of composers, genres, and musical periods is based on first-hand experience. All Russian Piano School's students, from beginners to advanced, are encouraged to participate in school/civic musical groups. Other musical activities might include: chamber ensemble violin/piano, accompanying church groups and soloists or playing with musical theatre ensembles. Students may also participate in Royal Conservatory of Music exams and play in a variety of competitions and festivals
